Montrose thefts from unlocked vehicles

Montrose residents are being asked to check their vehicles and to be proactive in ensuring their cars are secured.

A number of thefts from motor vehicles have occurred in the last three days across the suburb.

The emerging trend seems to be targeting unlocked vehicles parked in carports and driveways.

Should a theft occur, residents are urged to contact police as it may help the search for the culprit.

Yarra Ranges Eyewatch also said it was a timely reminder to remove any valuables from vehicles and to ensure cars are locked otherwise there is potential for things to be stolen.
