Yarra Ranges Police have released their statistics from the operation, catching 14 drink drivers and over 104 road crime offences while conducting 2484 preliminary breath tests.

The operation aimed to reduce the high rates of road trauma already seen in 2022, as people went away or celebrated for the long weekend.

61 lives have been lost in 2022 so far, up 17.3 percent from the same time last year. March has also historically been the highest-risk month on Victorian roads from five years of data, with 25 people dying in March 2021 alone, seven of those over Labour Day weekend.
