Yarra Valley Water’s customer service trainer Elisha Brayshaw has won the

Training Professional of Year (VIC/TAS) at the 2024 Auscontact Awards.

Run by the Australian Contact Centre Association, these awards recognise customer

service excellence in contact centres across all industries in Australia.

The judges commended Elisha for her passion in developing others and creating a

supportive environment where individual needs are met.

The judges also highlighted her innovative use of technology, fresh design features and contemporary approach to learning.

Ms Brayshaw said she was honoured and humbled to accept the accolade.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be recognised with this award. What I enjoy most about

my role is seeing the growth and confidence in our staff as they develop their skills

and knowledge. Contributing to their success and enhancing the positive experiences

our customers have with us is truly rewarding,” she said.

Yarra Valley Water’s acting general manager of retail services Lisa Anelli praised Ms Brayshaw exceptional commitment to developing the skills and capabilities of Yarra Valley Water’s customer care team.

“We’re so incredibly proud of Elisha and her well-deserved recognition. Her

unwavering commitment and passion for supporting our Customer Care team truly

reflect our core values. This award is a testament to our dedication to putting our

customers at the heart of everything we do.”

In her role as Customer Service Trainer, Ms Brayshaw excels in developing educational

material, conducting training sessions, and ensuring staff are equipped to deliver

award-winning customer service – her training methods are tailored to accommodate

different learning styles.

One of her biggest achievements has been co-leading the successful rollout of

Genesys Cloud training to over 180 employees.

This project, completed under tight deadlines, required detailed planning by Ms Brayshaw.

She also engaged stakeholders to keep them informed and developed customised

training materials, to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.

She will now advance to the National Auscontact awards, which will be held in

Brisbane in November.
