Chilly down for the weekend

It’s forecast to be a chilly and wet start to the weekend, with a minimum of 9°C and a top of just 13°C in the hills. Across the valley in places like Yarra Glen will see a slightly warmer day out with highs of 18°C forecast both days.

Saturday showers are expected to ease as the day progresses, though there’s still an 80 percent chance of rain in the afternoon, with possible rainfall between one to five millimetres.

Skies will remain cloudy throughout the day, and winds will be noticeable – northwesterly at 20 to 30 km/h, turning northerly and strengthening to 25 to 40 km/h by evening.

By Sunday 25 May, conditions will improve to wrap up the weekend. A crisp morning low of 8°C will give way to a mostly sunny day, with temperatures climbing to a high of 14°C to 18°C.

Pack a jacket and umbrella for Saturday, and enjoy clearer skies on Sunday. Happy weekend!
