Mobile camera trailer parked at reserve to deter anti-social behaviour

A mobile CCTV trailer has been parked outside the Lilydale Main Street toilets and at the entrance to the recreation reserve after a series of anti-social behaviour and damage.

Yarra Ranges Council was forced to close the public toilets at the end of 2025 for the foreseeable future after vandalism left the facilities unusable.

Lilydale police are also investigating a recent spate of anti-social behaviour including assaults and damage to public amenities in the vicinity of the Olinda Creek Trail.

The mobile camera trailer has now been positioned nearby to provide police with the ability to monitor this area 24/7 and to deter further such behaviour.

Members of the public are urged to contact Triple Zero to report any incidents that require police attendance or Crime Stoppers on 1300 333 000 if they have any information.
