When an official from The Lott first called the winner this morning, he was at work and had to rush home to get his winning ticket.

“What the?! My hair is standing up on my head!
“One of the guys at work saw all the missed calls on my phone and everyone was guessing what the calls were about!
“We were thinking it might be a division one win, but I really didn’t want to get my hopes up.
“Oh god! I’m a millionaire!
“Thank you for making my day, week, year! You’re amazing! This is amazing!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the stoked bloke admitted he was too overwhelmed by the news to make any concrete plans.
“I don’t know. I guess I will pay off the mortgage, pay some of my bills and share it with my family.
“I wouldn’t mind taking the boys out for dinner and drinks on the weekend to celebrate.
“I am at work right now, but I am certainly going to be enjoying some scotch to celebrate!”
The winning System 11 entry was purchased at Canterbury Gardens Lotto, Shop 8, 17-39 Canterbury Road, Bayswater North.
Canterbury Gardens Lotto owner Vincy Zhang said she was delighted to have made one of her customers a division one winner.
“We only took over the outlet nine months ago. We never dreamed of selling a division one winning entry so quickly!
“It was an especially tough year last year because of COVID-19, so we hope this win will put a smile on our winners’ face and give him hope for the future.”
